Gon smiled at the girl, who seemed to be bouncing with excitement. He had taken many girls on dates, but has never really completely enjoyed their presence like he did with Kanda and Killua.

Tightening his grip slightly, he looked forward as they walked down the sidewalk. “Where do you want to go?” He asked, curious.

((yes omg sorry))

Kanda grinned, feeling like her joy was entirely palpable. She turned to Gon as he spoke, eyes glimmering excitedly. “Mmm, how about…” She let her eyes wander, and when they lighted on a bench she finished, “The park?”

Gon nodded in response, and they ran to the park, giggling away like the children they are. As they arrived at the park, Gon plonked down on the bench, smiling as Kanda sat down beside him. He watched as a man brought his dog, which ran around barking as he threw the disc to it.

"If we ever get married, lets have 50 dogs and 50 cats." Gon said absent minded, not really payong attention to his own words.

The girl laughed in delight, sitting down beside him with a bit less force. She squeezed his hand tightly, lighting up at the sight of the dog.
"Mmmmn, yes! Only, it’d have to be a hundred dogs and cats!" she responded with a grin, not taking much stock in the words save for a mild blush.

mod-spoopyspectre asked: "Pssst, Sparkpaw," Koipaw whispered, her voice surprisingly quiet as she rolled over in her nest. Her eyes glimmered in the darkness. "You awake?" It was dark out, and she could feel Dustpaw's fur warm against her own. She couldn't sleep.

Sparkpaw yawned, blinking open his eyes. It had taken forever for him to fall asleep, but the twitching from Beetlepaw’s dreams woke him up.

Glancing over at Beetlepaw, he could hear the murmuring of his dreams, and pricked his ears. “Kiteclaw… we finally found my dad…” Sparkpaw’s ears pressed back against his head, and he sighed.

His ears pricked again when Koipaw addressed him, and he yawned once more. “I am now, thanks to this beetle-brain.” He whispered, pointing at Beetlepaw with his tail.

She grinned slightly, amused at his response. “Okay sweet.” She moved slightly away from Dustpaw, so she wouldn’t wake her up. “You wanna go hunting or something? I heard that you can see ghosts if you go out at night,” she added, her voice going lower, as though her regular whisper-volume would wake someone with this momentous secret.

Sparkpaw’s eyes widened, and the tom got to his paws. Beetlepaw continued to snore, and Sparkpaw let out the breath he was holding. Avoiding the tail of Badgerpaw, whose nest was next to theirs, Sparkpaw safely made it to the entrance of the den.

"Well, lets get going." He mewed softly, tail wagging slightly with excitement.

Koipaw nodded, jumping to her paws and pushing past him out of the den. The night was chilly and she fluffed out her fur. “Ahh, I thought you might be scared to come!” she said, a bit teasingly. “You don’t seem like the type to want to see ghosts!”

Sparkpaw snorted. “Everycat knows ghosts aren’t real. Anyway, even if they are, wouldn’t they be too busy up in StarClan?” He asked, shrugging lightly.

As they padded through the lightly blanked forest, Sparkpaw’s gaze wandered over to the trees. They were dead, with no leaves, but they soon became pine trees that were taller than the leaders rock.

Flicking his tail, his sight continued to wander. It finally landed on a black-and-white figure, who watched them from a distance. It stood there for a while, then turn and ran.

"Did… did you see that?" Sparkpaw asked, cautious. "I think there might be a rogue on our territory!" He mewed urgently.

The she-cat’s cheeks puffed out slightly in her best imitation of a pout. “Ghosts are too real,” she objected, quickly losing focus to run off and check things out in the dark.
The forest was very pretty, bathed with moonlight, and also very different. A tree hollow she knew well from patrols looked dark and ominous now, and she wouldn’t dare stick her nose in it.

When Sparkpaw spoke, she looked up, head tilted in confusion. “Huh? I didn’t see it…”

modshadow asked: Sandkit poked his head into the apprentices' den, surveying the nests. Soon, he'd be in there, with a nest next to Pythonkit and Coalpaw, he was sure of it! The kit blinked in surprise when he noticed an apprentice still inside, then relaxed when he realized who it was. "Hey, Koipaw!" he cried into the den. "Are you gonna sleep all day, you lazy furball?"

Koipaw’s head jerked up as her name was called, sleep bidding that she keep her eyes half-lidded. “Hunh?” she groaned, wiping a paw over her muzzle. “S’too early, go ‘way,” she yawned, fluffy tail curling around her once again.

Kanda’s skin felt cool as she emerged from the water, her hair dripping. She kept her nose under, blue eyes glimmering in the fading twilight. Her tail swished, scales a patchwork of red and white under the water.

She smiled, slowly making her way to Owen’s side so that the rippling water couldn’t give her away. She reached up, tapping on his shoulder playfully. “Tag,” she suddenly exploded, turning quick as a flash to dart away.
